Weekly Dose of Scripture 2/26/23

Hey guys! It’s time for our last Valentine’s Day-themed verse for the month! The last few weeks, we’ve looked at how we should love others, how us single peeps shouldn’t rush into romantic love, and now we’re going to look at God’s love for us! Check it out!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. – John 3:16

Chances are, you have this verse memorized. Not only does this verse tell us how to get to Heaven, but it also describes God’s love for us. He loved us all, despite our sins, so much that He allowed Jesus to become a human man and be beaten for us. He allowed Jesus to die for us. There is no greater love than that! If you think you are too broken, too far gone, too dirty for Him, you are wrong. Jesus died even for those who beat him and put Him on the cross. As He died, he said, “Forgive them, Father (God), they know not what they do.” To the sinner on the cross beside Him, He told him he would be in Paradise with Him that day. How beautiful is that? He loves as at our worst! We can always run to Him and know that He cares for us; and that fact will never change.

I hope this encourages you to believe that Jesus died for you! He loves you more than you could ever imagine!

God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
