Hello! As you might now, February means themed posts. It will be no different with the quote posts! Though I am coming up on another Valentine’s Day as a single woman (again), I can still appreciate other romance stories (and, of course, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about romantic love, either!). So for the next few weeks, we’re going to be looking at quotes regarding love! For this week, we’re going to kick off our love-themed quotes with a line from one of my favorite video game love stories. Check it out!

“Rinoa… Even if you end up as the world’s enemy, I’ll…I’ll be your knight.” – Squall (Final Fantasy 8)

Okay, I said ONE of my favorite video game love stories, but I might have to say my favorite love story period. Squall is a character I’ve loved since I was a kid, and seeing him change throughout the game was neat. He doesn’t like people, much less talking to them, so he can come off as rude. Well, I mean, he IS rude. But after meeting Rinoa, he begins to warm up to her and his other friends. But mainly, he warms up to Rinoa. The two fall in love and the story is just- UGH! There’s so many moments that had the water works going, because, you know, this is a Final Fantasy game. Good things don’t happen to two Square Enix characters who are in love!!! Anyway, I love this quote (and this scene) a whole lot, and I’ve most likely done it in the past, but I just wanted it to have even more time in the spotlight!
