Throwback Thursday 12/29/22

It’s the last throwback of 2022! To mark this occasion, I will be looking back at a New Years from the past, along with some others things that happened around that time. My family used to do a lot in regards to New Years back when my cousins still lived nearby, but these days we pretty much just hang out and watch Star Wars. That’s perfectly fine with me, but for this throwback, I’m bringing back a particularly exciting New Years!

That Time We Saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens

When I was in high school, I was a GIANT Star Wars nerd. If you have been following this blog since the beginning, then you know this, because this blog used to be dedicated to all things Star Wars. Anyway, when The Force Awakens released, I couldn’t go to see it right away, since my family was waiting on my Nana to come visit. She is a Star Wars fan as well, so we all planned to watch it together. So near New Years Eve, my Nana came down from Indiana to visit. That was always exciting, because we don’t usually get to see my family who live up in the North. Along all the other stuff we did while she was here, we got to go see Star Wars, and I LOVED it. These days, while I’m not that giant of a Star Wars nerd, and The Force Awakens has gone down on my list of movies I like, I do look back at that time fondly. Besides that, my Nana also stayed for New Years Eve. If I remember correctly, I think my cousins also came, as they usually did on New Years, and we all had a great time with fire works, good food, and that kind of stuff. It’s certainly a memory I like to hold onto!

What about you guys? Do you have any fond memories of past New Years/New Years Eve? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful Thursday!
