Merry Christmas y’all!!! I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas so far! For this final Blogmas post of the year (and final Weekly Dose of Scripture for the year!), we’re going to be taking a look at a verse that is very special to me, and one that I’m sure many people know of. Take a look!
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord. – Luke 2:9-12
After Jesus was born, an angel appeared to a group of shepherds to tell them about His arrival. I love that about this, because the angel didn’t go to someone who was rich, or well-know. The angel came to shepherds and told them that the news was for all people. It didn’t matter if those people were bad, or good, rich or poor, old or young. Jesus came to be everyone’s Savior. He would one day die to take away all of our sins because of how much He loved us. He would rise again, and someday, we will be able to go to Heaven to be with Him.
And that is why we celebrate Christmas! I hope this encourages you to come to Jesus! He loves you so, so much! I also hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas! God bless y’all!
