Blogmas Day 24: End Of The Year Book Tag

Hey guys! How are we already at Blogmas day 24??? Christmas is literally tomorrow! For this Blogmas post, I’m going to be doing a tag that I did last year: the End of the Year Book Tag! This is a popular tag among the reading community, and it’s a fun one! You can read my tag from last year here. Let’s get to this year’s version!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Quite a few! I would like to finish The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson, but I’m not really going to push myself to read it before the end of the year since it’s pretty long, and I’d like to reach my goal of reading 100 books this year. I’m close to finishing the goal, so I’m thinking I’ll get back to it after that!

Do you have a book or autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Not really, but I do like reading more mystery/thriller type stuff once autumn comes. As you saw on all my What I Read… posts, I read a whole lot of Agatha Christie once August hit. Mostly it was because her books are easy to get through, but they also put me in the fall mood!

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Lots! I’m particularly excited about the new Percy Jackson book coming out next year. You can read more about upcoming book releases I’m looking forward to here!

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I would like to read, as I mentioned above, The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson (though I’m not going to push it), The Princess Will Save You by Sarah Henning, and The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. For that last one, I just need to hurry up and read it! I’ve been worried about what will happen in it, but I’ve put it off for far too long!

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite book of the year?

I think the only book that could do that at this point would be The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson. My favorite book of the year so far is probably Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson, so either way, a Brandon Sanderson book will be my favorite, haha! I mean, my favorite book of all time is also a Brandon Sanderson book (The Final Empire), and Sanderson is even my favorite author! It’s going to take a lot to top that!

Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?

Kind of! I decided I’m only going to do 60 books next year, because if I can get 100 books into 2022, I will have scratched something off my bucket list! For next year, 60-70 will be just fine. …Though I’m pretty sure I said something just like that last year…

That’s all! I’m not entirely sure who created this tag, but I got the questions from Ariel Bissett, so thanks so much to her! Go check out her content! If you want to do this tag yourself, go for it, and let me know that you did it so I can read it!

God bless y’all and have a wonderful day!
