Blogmas Day 22: Throwback Thursday – Christmas Edition

Hey guys! Christmas is in a few days, and we’ve come to the last Christmas-themed throwback of the year! Yes, there will be a throwback next week, but it most likely won’t be about Christmas. Anyways, I wanted this one to be an extra special memory, but I have so many of those, it was hard to pick just one. Since I’ve already talked about playing KHII with my sisters on Christmas Eve night in a throwback not that long ago, I decided not to go with that one. However, after a while of pondering on it, I chose this one. Check it out!

That Time I Used To Play Dollhouse With My Sisters

When I was younger, my sisters and I would play with our dollhouses all the time. We collected little dolls, so our little doll families were quite large, haha! Every Christmas, we would decorate the dollhouses for the holidays. My dollhouse was actually specifically a Christmas house, so it came with Christmas decorations that give me all kinds of nostalgia now. And around the beginning of November, we would make the doll moms go Christmas shopping. We would get all kinds of knickknack toys around the house and wrap them up in tissue paper, making little presents for the doll kids. The bigger the families got, the more presents there were, haha!

I don’t remember when exactly, but one year we just stopped doing that. In fact, we stopped playing dollhouse altogether. It makes me a little sad to think about. I have a policy about never being to old to do certain things, and I certainly don’t believe I’m too old to play dollhouse. There is such thing as not having time to revert back into a kid for a few hours, though, as sad as that is. I’m wrapped up in college, organizations, and work. But when I think about those carefree days playing dollhouse with my sisters, I want to go back there. And who knows? Maybe I can make time for that this year!

What do you think about this throwback? Do you have any childhood memories you wish you could go back to? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
