Happy Thanksgiving everyone! It’s hard to believe we’re here again, because I feel like I was literally just watching last year’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Crazy, right? For today’s throwback, I wanted to go back in time to a Thanksgiving from the past. For the past few years, my family’s Thanksgiving Day traditions haven’t changed, but I still have a lot of fun memories related to each year. For this throwback, I wanted to talk about one memory in particular that seemed to happen only yesterday… Check it out!

That Time We Watched The 2021 Thanksgiving Day Parade

Yes, this throwback only went a year into the past, but that’s okay! I don’t know about y’all, but last year’s parade was the best I had ever seen. One of my favorite bands, Foreigner, had their own float and they came by singing one of my favorite songs (“I Want To Know What Love Is”). Another Christian singer also got his own float, and that was awesome! And, of course, the Grogu (Baby Yoda) balloon made its first appearance! I don’t remember all that much from last year’s Thanksgiving (they are beginning to blur together since, as I said, our traditions have stayed pretty much the same throughout the year). But for some reason, watching the parade that morning is a special memory for me. We didn’t really do much else that day, besides going to my grandparents’ house for Thanksgiving dinner, but it was a fun day! I will say that I think last year was the first time I actually sat down and watched the Dog Show, I’m pretty sure. I just couldn’t help but think that my Grandparents’ dog, Beans, would be the perfect show dog the whole time I watched it. Maybe someday he can get in…maybe…
