Throwback Thursday 11/3/22

Hey guys! Before we get started, I wanted to let y’all know I’m going to be doing something special this month! I’m not that big of a TV watcher, but sometimes I’ll catch a great show that makes me want to binge. On such show, which is actually my favorite TV show, is Manifest. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically about this plane that takes off in Jamaica to go to New York. However, when the plane lands, the passengers find that they’ve been missing for five years. And really, that’s the simplest synopsis I can tell you, because this show is CRAZY. All kinds of stuff is going on, and the final season is actually releasing at midnight tonight (though it’ll be a couple hours past midnight for me). In honor of the final season of my favorite TV show, I thought I would dedicate my November posts to it! This includes my weekly quotes and throwbacks, and perhaps my verses, too, since there is plenty of Scripture in the show.

With that being said, today’s throwback is going to be about Manifest. Take a look!

That Time My Sister Roped Me Into A New Show

As I mentioned, I’m not a big TV or movie watcher, so at the time I heard about Manifest I wasn’t keeping up with any show. One morning, my sister and I were walking to class, and on the way she told me about this show she started the night before. I was instantly interested, and I wanted to know more!

So, my sister and I do this thing where we’ll go for walks and she’ll tell me about whatever show she’s been watching, and I’ll tell her about whatever book I’ve been reading. For the first two seasons of Manifest (and a little of season 3) my sister told me pretty much everything that happened, and it really captured my attention unlike any other show she’s told me about. Sometime in season three, I finally told her to stop telling me about it so I could see it for myself!

Since I procrastinate with shows for whatever reason, it took me a while before I finally watched the first episode. Oh, but when I did, there was no turning back. I binged it for a while, but slowed down at season 3, as I tend to do with longer shows. I’m just not a binger! I finally caught up with my sisters (because all of us girls were watching it at this point) sometime at the beginning of this year, so I’ve been waiting for a while now for this last season. Still, I can’t imagine what it must have been like to follow the show from the beginning, only to have it cancelled! I’m really glad Netflix picked it back up, because I NEED to know what happened to these passengers!

What do you think about this throwback? Are you a Manifest fan? Let me know in the comments below! And, as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
