Hey, y’all! I have been kind of slacking off with posting lately, so apologies for that! There are three bigger posts I missed, along with a throwback last Thursday. I literally haven’t had a chance to even be at the computer much the last three days, so I decided to go ahead and do two of those posts in November, even though they are my “every-other-month” posts. I just wanted to make them up!

But anyway, let’s get on with our weekly verse!

If my people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14

As human beings, we are inclined to sin. We come into this world as sinners, and since we are not perfect, we are bound to act on those sins at one point or another. But hope is not lost! Jesus died on the cross for this very reason! He knew that, as sinners, we would never be able to get into Heaven, so He payed the price for us so we could be saved. All we have to do is commit ourselves to God and turn from sin. It can be pretty hard, but it’s entirely worth it! As the verse says, if we call on Him and turn from our wicked, human ways, He will forgive us and heal our land. By giving ourselves to Him, we can have eternal life!
