Hey guys! I’m here with this week’s quote, and it’s another spooky one! This is from one of my favorite horror short stories ever (which, you know, it doesn’t have much to compete with since I’m not that big on horror). But this one’s so good! Check it out!
“Day and night, awake or sleep, I see it, and I know I am condemned to see it forever, even perhaps into oblivion!” – The Fly (George Langelaan)
Back in my film/literature class in the spring, we would read short stories and then watch their movie adaptations. How the horror genre, we did The Fly. I will say right now that I hate the movie with all of my being, and I did my best not to watch (which was pretty easy since I just pretended to be busy taking notes). But the short story. Y’all! I LOVE the short story, and I’ve really been wanting to read it again lately. It’s creepy, but I don’t have to actually see what’s going on, you know? Perfect, since I hate body horror. Anyway, this part in the story is pretty creepy, but I liked it. I have to recommend this story even if you don’t like horror. Maybe you’ll turn out liking it, like I did!
What do you think about this quote? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
Curious: Which version of the movie did you watch?

I watched the 1980s version with Jeff Goldblum…being someone who gets squeamish with body horror, I did NOT take to it 😅
