Hey guys! It’s time for another throwback! It’s crazy that another week has already gone by. Time is just moving right along! Anyways, for today’s throwback, I decided to talk about my piano life for a bit. It’s short, but we like short things, don’t we? Take a look!
That Time I FINALLY Got To Have My Senior Recital
I’ve been playing piano since I was seven years old. When I got into high school, my teacher decided it was time I started practicing for my senior recital, which was going to happen whenever I graduated. So, I ended up neglecting school a lot of times because I spent my time doing what really made me happy; practicing piano. I was learning eight or nine different songs, and it took up a lot of my time.
2020 came along, and this was the year I was going to have my senior recital! And then…Covid hit. Everything got canceled, of course, and I was super bummed out about it. I had been practicing for a long time, so I pretty much felt like it was all for nothing. But, I kept going! By the next year, things had calmed down a little, and we decided to do the recital. But by this point, all the songs I had been learning were starting to sound dry since I had been playing them for so long. I gathered up some new songs and took to learning those! I was literally practicing about five hours a day to make sure everything was perfect! My song list included:
Clair De Lune (Claude Debussy)
Dearly Beloved (Kingdom Hearts)
Don’t Think Twice (Kingdom Hearts)
The Merry-Go-Round of Life (Howl’s Moving Castle)
Uso to Honto (Your Lie In April)
Lazy Afternoons (Kingdom Hearts)
Promise of the World (Howl’s Moving Castle)
Ending Theme (Final Fantasy X)
A lot of songs, but it was entirely worth it!
What do you think about this throwback? Let me know in the comments! And as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
