Hey guys! Sooooo I kinda fell off the face of the Earth for a few days. Yesterday and Thursday were incredibly busy days for me, so I didn’t get a chance to post anything. I was supposed to do my first Day In The Life post on Thursday, but by the time I got around to remembering it, it was too late. Plus, I had been planning this Carnival for the honor society for the school for a whole month, and Thursday was the day it finally happened. Things kept going wrong and needless to say, I was a very stressed mess! Everything turned out okay, but I didn’t really get anything else done because of it. Then, Friday was packed with meetings and school.
But enough with the excuses…because I have more bad news, haha! I literally did not finish a single book in September. I did a bit of reading, but I was in somewhat of a slump, so I kept jumping from book to book without really finishing any of them. At this point I’m wondering if I should push myself to finish my reading goal, but I’m going to stick with it for now and see if I can make it. This semester has been somewhat of a nightmare, but I really want to try!
For this month, as you can tell by the title, I’m going to read anything that has to do with the spooky, fall season. This doesn’t mean I have to read horror or anything. As long as the book gives me fall vibes or whatever, I can read it! I hoped this would make it easier for me to get out of my reading slump since I’m giving myself a wide variety of choices.
I just started A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, and I think this series will be easy for me to get through even during this busy month. I’m really hoping to get caught up, so wish me luck!
Before I end, I’ll just give a little update on the status of my posting schedule. As I said, I didn’t do the Day In The Life like I was supposed to (this is a monthly series), but I will do my best to get to it this month. I am also hoping to put out a Music On My Mind post this month, but that will depend on how much piano practice I can get in. Finally, I am aware that Square Enix and Nintendo have made some pretty big announcements, and I would really like to do a post discussing the trailers they released last month. Better late than never!
Let me know your fall/spooky book recommendations in the comments below! Happy October!
God bless y’all and have a wonderful weekend!
