Hey guys! Before we get started, I just wanted to apologize for my posting schedule being a bit hectic. Some posts were supposed to come out last week, but never did, so they have been moved to this week. So apologies in advance for spamming y’all with releases this week!
Anyway, let’s get to the point- this week’s verse. For this week, I decided to take something from 1 Corinthians:
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
This has always been one of my favorite pieces of Scripture, but I think it is also a piece we tend to read and think, “aw, that’s nice”, and then move on with our lives. How often do we stop and actually process what these verses are saying? How often do we make a conscious effort live out these verses? Here’s the deal: these verses are basically telling us how we should live. This is how Jesus lived. He was patient, kind, slow to anger. He never boasted, never envied someone else. We should be just like this! I know it can be extremely difficult something, especially when you might be around people who are NOT living out this verse, but we should always try to live like Jesus and embody love.
I hope this encourages you to love others and live like Jesus! As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
