Weekly Dose of Scripture 8/29/22

Hey guys! This post was supposed to come out yesterday, but the first week of school made me incredibly lazy last weekend, so that’s why it did not, haha! But better late than never, as I always say. I will try not to be lazy in the future. Emphasis on the try… ANYway, let’s just get to this week’s verse. And I’ll be sticking with what I would have done yesterday. Take a look!

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

I was extremely surprised to see this was the verse of the day yesterday, because yesterday was what us Manifest fans call 828 day. If you’ve never seen Manifest, it’s basically about these people who get on this plane and when they arrive at their destination, they find they’ve been missing for five years – not the 2 hours they spent on the plane. A large focus in the show happens to be this Bible verse, and the number 828 is everywhere. August 28th has been dubbed 828 day, and I HAD to wonder if that was why this was the verse of the day yesterday. I’d say it was a coincidence, if I believed in coincidences…

Anyway, this verse is not saying that if we love God, everything is going to work out for us and it’ll be sunshine and rainbows. If you’re a Christian, you know you still have struggles! What it is saying is that if we hold fast to our faith, and love God, He will see us through any trial and all bad things will eventually work out for our good, even if we can’t see that right away.

I hope this encourages you to hold onto your faith and follow God! In the midst of trials, things will look scary, but in the end, He will see you through!

As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
