Hey guys! Last week I was on vacation, which is why you didn’t see my usual posts come out, but I am back now! And I bring good news: I have been trying to get into the ministry at my church, and I finally got in! I will now be a part of the children’s ministry, and I’m super excited about that! Yesterday I got to observe how things were done and everything, and I’ll start the official work next Sunday. While I was observing, this particular verse suddenly came to mind, and I thought it would be a good one to share…
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
As I said, I was standing there watching how the toddler/preschool Sunday School class went when this verse popped into my head. So what is this saying? Only children will inherit the kingdom of heaven? Not exactly! Think of it this way- little kids will readily believe anything you tell them. I mean, they believe in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, etc., so they will readily believe God exists, too! We must have the faith of a child if we are to enter the kingdom of heaven. If you are older, this might not be so easy! But it is so, SO worth it!
I hope this encourages you to have childlike faith! As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
