Hey guys! I’m back with this week’s quote, and this time, I chose one from one of my favorite Nintendo games. I know I recently did a Fire Emblem quote, but this one is from an older one! The spot light has been on Fire Emblem: Three Houses ever since it released a couple years ago, but a different Fire Emblem deserves a little attention…
“You deserve better from me than one sword and a world of troubles. I’m sorry.” – Chrom (Fire Emblem: Awakening)
Awakening is a strange but beautiful game. Chrom has a pretty rough go of it, especially considering the fact it opens up with his supposedly inevitable death at the hands of the player’s character, Robin. Things escalate pretty quickly when it is revealed that Lucina is his daughter from the future, and she tells him of his future death. In Lucina’s future, the kingdom has fallen, pretty much everything is in ruins, and she is one of the only survivors of her family. When Chrom learns of this, he expresses his desire to make a better future; not only for himself, but for his daughter. The dialogue in this game is REALLY good, but the scenes between Chrom and Lucina always take it up a few notches.
What do you think about this quote? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
