Hello everyone! Before I get started with this post, I just wanted to mention that I will not be making up my missed verse and quote posts that I missed the last two days, and that is because I was giving my mind a rest! I was able to get the majority of my homework done before Friday last week, and I was off of work thanks to Independence Day, so I got to have a four day weekend! Let me tell you, I desperately needed it. I did everything that I missed doing- I read, gamed, played piano, etc. I’m back to work today and feeling pretty good, despite major allergies (I’m okay though!).

Over the break, I thought about what sort of posts I wanted to be releasing, and what kind of schedule I would be following. I’ve been pretty lazy with doing some of my series, such as Inspiring Characters and Writing Tips and all that other good stuff. Come August, I will definitely be getting more of a hold on what sort of posts come out when. And in the midst of all this crazy stuff, I will be throwing in a brand new series!

Now, this is not the first time I’ve mentioned this series. I’ve given it a lot of thought before. During the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary, I said I had some special content; content I never said anything about afterwards due to life getting in the way. Before I say what that is, I want to let the suspense hang in the air for a little longer, haha! When I first mentioned this special content, I said I had been working on it since August of 2021. This is true, and I actually first had the idea then as well. But here’s the problem with me. I get these grand ideas, but then it turns out I don’t really have what it takes to make it happen. What I did for the KH 20th anniversary was not what I planned for, even if it was still great and everything. When I realized it wasn’t going to work out, I switched to plan B, which was to release the special content a few times throughout the year until the American KH 20th anniversary (September 17th). Alas, adulting punched me in the face hard this year, and I had to slip into plan C, which is still going to be fun guys! All this thinking about what sort of stuff I would be posting made me realize something important; I have so many series for many different things in my life (reading, gaming, traveling, etc.), but I don’t talk about music, which is a large part of my life.

And this brings me to the announcement…

My new series will be calling Music On My Mind!

I started taking piano lessons when I was seven, and I went on for thirteen years before being the first to make it all the way through my teacher’s studio and graduating. All in all, I’ve been playing for around fourteen years. Piano has been a huge part of my life, and it’s something that really makes me happy. Performing for others is a huge passion of mine, so I thought it was only natural that I should post my music. Back in August of 2021, I was working hard to bring the music of Kingdom Hearts to my blog for the 20th anniversary. However, after I started my job, I was barely ever home to practice as much as I needed to. My plan B was to post throughout the year, but as I said, that didn’t work out, and I will now be going to plan C, which is starting this new series! I have a feeling it always would have come to this even if I did go through with plan A or B. As I said, I love performing, and I would love to share my playing with you guys!

That being said, I will not only be playing Kingdom Hearts music, but music from other video games, movies, or whatever else I think would be cool to do. Even some classical! If I’m feeling real bold, I may even do a few pieces of my own design.

Anyways, I’m currently working to cut out more time for piano, since it’s really something I love doing. Yesterday I was able to pull out some old sheet music that I used to know and I’m relearning them! I hope to be posting soon!
