I am finally here with our quote of the week! After missing a few days of doing pretty much anything, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, especially since school is pretty much over for me. Just one more class tomorrow, and my last bit of homework today! Yippee!! Anyways, enough of that. As you might know if you saw my last quote, I’m making this month themed! I’m only doing book quotes, so let’s look at what I chose for this week… (Major Spoiler Warnings!)
“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times, if you like. It was only ever yours to break, anyway.” – Prince Maxon (The One by Kiera Cass)
So my sister got The Selection series for Christmas back in 2018, and she read them pretty fast. After much begging, she got me to read them. And y’all, I was not disappointed! I also read them fast, and it was because I couldn’t put them down! This scene is in the last book (we’re not going to talk about the other two, okay?), and wow. Near the end of the book, the palace is attacked, and Maxon is shot. Let me tell you, I thought for sure that these were his dying words to America, the woman he wanted to marry. Lo and behold, he ends up surviving, but geez! That really had me worried there for a minute. But hey, if he had died, those are some GOOD last words!
What do you think about this quote? Have you read The Selection? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
