Weekly Dose of Scripture 3/28/22

Hey guys! I’m a little late with the blog posts that were and are supposed to be coming out, mostly because yesterday was a VERY long day for me. But here I am with some wonderful verses! For this week’s verse, I wanted to talk about one that has been on my mind a lot lately. Take a look!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1

This verses has started popping into my mind a lot lately the past week. Sometimes I have a tendency to focus on my needs, and I will get stressed about my finances and other suck stuff. One big thing I have been struggling with recently is the fact that I am a single woman who has never been in a relationship before, and sometimes that gets frustrating. It was during one of these times where I was frustrated about being single when this verse just popped into my head! God knows exactly what my needs are, and exactly what the desires in my heart are; He gave me those needs and desires! But the thing is, God is more important than those needs and desires. There’s another passage of Scripture that says we must seek first the Kingdom of God and once we do that, all of our needs will be given to us. But the deal is that we have to seek Him FIRST. That may be difficult sometimes! But we have to have faith in God. He knows our deepest needs and desires, but He wants us to have a relationship with Him. Once I realized that, it became easier to bear the frustration that sometimes comes with being single!

I hope this encourages you to seek God first, and to know that He is your Shepherd and He cares for you!

As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
