Hey guys! Day 18 of the celebration has arrived, and because of that, I’m going to be reminiscing over my 18th birthday. What the heck does my 18th birthday have to do with Kingdom Hearts? Plenty! This will be another shorter post, though I guess plenty of them have been short. There’s just something chill about doing ones like this!
Anyway, I turned 18 in 2019. Earlier that year, the Kingdom Hearts orchestra known as World of Tres happened to be doing a world tour, which they do NOT do often. I still remember the day I found out they were coming to Dallas, which is the closest they would be coming to me. Not only that, but they would be in town in October, my birthday month. I REALLY wanted to go, but I didn’t put that much thought into it at the time, since I didn’t assume I would be able to do so.
When October came around, I actually decided on having a Kingdom Hearts birthday. It was pretty fun! I believe I had one present from my parents., and the last thing I expected the present to be were tickets to the orchestra! But there they were! I was super excited!
A couple weeks later my family drove to Dallas where the orchestra would be. It was pretty awesome there, and a ton of people were cosplaying as different Kingdom Hearts characters. If you read my cosplay post, then you know this was when I got to talk to some of my fellow fans!
The orchestra played pieces throughout the series, starting with the first game and ending with Kingdom Hearts III. Boy was it a nostalgic ride! At the end, they acted like they were done playing, but then they returned to play one of my all-time favorite songs, “Don’t Think Twice”. It was so beautiful!
It was a good thing that I had been saving my money up, because flash forward to January 2020, they announced the release of the ReMind DLC. If you paid extra for it, they would throw in a professional recording of the orchestra, so I ended up doing that to have something to remember the orchestra by. It’s a great recording and I listen to it often!
I’m not sure when or if World of Tres will ever come around again, or anytime soon, but if they do I highly recommend it for all you Kingdom Hearts fans out there! Anyways, have you ever been to any orchestra, not just this one? What were your experiences? Let me know in the comments!
As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful day!
