Weekly Dose of Scripture 1/9/22

Hey guys! I’m here with this week’s Scripture, which is a few verses I was reading in the book of 2 Samuel the other day. These verses just jumped out at me, as some verses tend to do, and they were just what I needed! I hope they are just want you needed, too!

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me. – 2 Samuel 22:17-20

When we are drowning in the deep waters, our trials, the Lord draws us out. When we feel like its us against the world, He is our support. He delights in and rescues those who follow Him whole-heartedly. The entirety of chapter 22 is full of the good things the Lord did for King David, but the thing is that the Lord can and is still doing those things for us, even when it doesn’t feel like it. And like David, we should always be pouring out our praise to Him!

I hope this encourages you! As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
