It’s that time of year again! There was SO MUCH that went on tonight at the Game Awards, and I’m here to give you a rundown on everything from game announcements to who won some awards! Unfortunately, I got mixed up with time zones and I actually missed an hour of the show, which meant that, sadly, I missed Sting’s performance of his song for the League of Legions movie, which was something I was really looking forward to, but thank goodness for YouTube, right? Haha! Anyway, let’s get to it, because there’s a lot to go over!
We’ll start off with all of the new game trailers, because there was a ton of them! Check out the list!

For an even more detailed list and look into what happened tonight, please check out Tom’s Guide, because he did a great job of detailing everything as it was revealed! Anyways, I am really excited for some of this stuff! Tchia looks so beautiful, and I’ve been waiting for that one to come out for awhile! Among Us VR was unexpected for me, but I can’t wait to be able to play that! An y’all, I had to do my happy dance for Dune: Spice Wars! Dune is on of my favorite books, and I got to go see the movie when it came out and I thought it was absolutely incredible, so I can’t wait to play this strategy game!
And y’all know that Square Enix is my favorite game studio, and I think they’re really going to kill it next year with all the new games coming out, and especially with Kingdom Hearts’ 20th anniversary in March! While we didn’t get any hints as to what might be in store for KH, we did get a look at Babylon’s Fall and the gorgeous Forespoken! Not to mention that surprise reveal for a PC version of the Final Fantasy 7 DLC which had previously only been available for PS5. Super exciting!
Now I’ll stop here, because I’ll probably keep talking forever about the new stuff and never get to, you know, the actual award ceremony. I have listed all the nominees below, and the winners are in bold print. Check it out!

Wow, that’s a lot! Congradulations to all the games that won awards, especially to the adorable It Takes Two for winning the title of Game of the Year! I was super happy to see Final Fantasy 14, Metroid Dread, and Nier Replicant win some awards, there was a lot of Square Enix up there in the spot light!
Alongside these game announcements and awards, we got multiple musical performances from Sting (who I must go back and watch now since I missed is *cries*), the Game Awards Orchestra, a K-Pop band, and last but certainly not least, Imagine Dragons. If I missed the Sting performance, I was glad I at least got to see Imagine Dragons perform their song “Enemy”, and it was very exciting!
I’m going to close out now, because that was a lot! I hope you enjoyed this post! Please let me know in the comments below what games you are looking forward to, as well as whether or not the games you love won some awards!
As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful Friday!
