Hey guys! It is officially twenty more days until Christmas! For Blogmas day five, I’ll be doing another Weekly Dose of Scripture post, as you can tell by the title, and the verses will be from the Gospel chapters! During Christmas, we can sometimes be distracted by the lights, decorations, and gifts, and we lose sight of what this season is really about. The truth of the matter is that Jesus is the reason for the season, and it is a reminder of what He has done for us. Let’s take a look at the first verse of December!
“For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:37
When the angel Gabriel came to tell Mary that she would be the mother of Jesus, she was in disbelief, wondering how this could be. Gabriel informed her that even her cousin Elizabeth was pregnant in her old age, and he spoke the words in Luke 1:37. This is one of my favorite verses, and it is something that has kept me going in life. With God, I can get my degree. With God, I can become a published author. With God, I can do anything. Gabriel reminded Mary that God could perform miracles, and there was no such thing as the impossible with Him.
Live life knowing that nothing is impossible with God! I hope this encourages you! I pray that God will bless you all and give you a wonderful week!
Amen! He has certainly blessed me and helped me through some dark difficult days. Keep the faith – He’s got your back!!
