Hey guys! We are here at the end of October already?! That means we’re so close to Thanksgiving and, of course, Christmas! I am sooooo looking forward to Christmas break! I believe during the month of Thanksgiving, the Scripture I use will surround giving thanks and being grateful for what we have, and during December I will be taking verses from the passages about the birth of Christ. So for this last verse that will not be themed, I will take a verse from John. Take a look!
Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” – John 11:25-26
When I was in my senior year of high school, I took Spanish 2. One of the things we had to do was learn verses in Spanish, and this was one we did. In fact, it was my teacher’s favorite verse. Here, Jesus is giving us how exactly we are to have eternal life. He is life. By believing in Him, we have eternal life. Another verse says how if we believe in our hearts that Jesus lives, and confess with our mouths that He is our Lord, then we are saved (Romans 10:9).
Perhaps there are some of you who have been interested in being a Christian, but have never actually confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. Perhaps you haven’t been baptized yet. I challenge you to be saved — to believe in your hearts and confess with your mouth that you believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, then He was raised from the dead. And in the end, we will all go to Heaven to experience an eternal life with Him.
God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
