Princess Geek Travels: Day 6 + 7 of Colorado Trip

Hey guys! Yesterday was kind of a slow day, and nothing really happened, so I combined days again! It pretty much rained all day yesterday, so we mostly stayed at the house we’re renting and just hung out, which was fun! However, while there was a break in the rain, the boys in the family went fishing and the girls took a walk, and that was pretty fun! I didn’t take much pictures then, but I did see these flowers! Aren’t they colorful?

Flowers!

For the life of me I can’t figure out what they’re called, so if you know, please tell me in the comments!

I also took a picture of the trail we were walking on, and I thought it was a cool picture.

There’s so many different kinds of trees here, and I love that!

While yesterday was a slow day, today was very buys! We woke up early and went up to Vail, Colorado to spend the day there. The weather was gorgeous and it was so fun! I took way too many pictures, but I picked out only a few to share…

After riding a gondola to the top of the mountains, we hiked through the woods to get to where all the activities were. There were many different trails, both for hiking and for biking! It was so peaceful, and I actually got a lot of inspiration to write in the book I’ve been working on!

Once we made it to the top, there was a lot of things to do! We ended up tubing and riding the little coaster they had, which was fun! Not to mention that the view was something a picture can’t do justice to!

It’s views like that that really make you appreciate God’s creation!

The coaster proved to be the most time consuming part of the day. We ended up waiting in line for a little longer than an hour before we finally got to ride it, but it was worth it! Needless to say, most of the people in that line were all friends by the time we finally got to the end of it, haha! I’m just glad it wasn’t the Texas heat we had to stand in! And while we waited, we had this little guy to keep us company!

Chipmonk!

This chipmunk was definitely not afraid of humans, and ran around taking in the sight of all these people waiting in line! This wasn’t the only chipmunk we saw, either. There was tons of them! None of them seemed to scared of people, which was interesting to see!

After finally getting to ride the coaster, we rode the gondola back down to the village to walk around the shops. It was almost like being transported to another country! If you were to blindfold me and take me there, I would have thought we were in France! Funny enough, it looks very, very similar to Altissia from Final Fantasy 15!

There was a lot of cool shops there, but we mostly just looked around (until we came to a little candy shop, of course…). There were SO MANY FLOWERS, and I just had to snap a picture of these!

There was a little place that people could go tubing down this stream, and it looked pretty fun! But you wouldn’t catch me getting in that freezing water!

It was so beautiful there, and I highly recommend giving this place a visit! You definitely won’t regret it!

I hope y’all enjoyed this little update! God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
