Quote of the Week 5/10/21

Hey guys! I’m happy to say that for the next couple weeks I will be getting a break from school before my summer classes start. With all that free time, I’m going to be spending a little more time here on the blog, because I hate that I’ve been neglecting it lately! I have so much I want to talk about, so hopefully I will be getting those posts out before school starts again.

Anyway, let’s get to what we’re really here for! I’ve got a quote from one of my favorite books ever, and a quote that I wish could have been in the movie. If you need a good laugh, look no further than the masterpiece that is Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones

“I assure you, my friends, I am cone sold stober.” – Howl (Howl’s Moving Castle)

I first read Howl’s Moving Castle a few years back when I found it on a random shelf in a Books A Million all the way in Indiana. I had known of the movie, and had only recently figured out there was a novel of it as well, so I was very excited to find it. And let me tell you, once I started reading it, there was no putting it down! The movie is gorgeous and I love it to death, but it still doesn’t hold a candle to the book. If you thought he was a drama king in the movie, just get ready for the king of drama kings in the book, because he is really something else, haha! I literally can’t flip through the book without laughing because we have silly scenes like the one this quote comes from. Of course Howl is terribly drunk, and his attempts to prove otherwise fail miserable. If you have not read the book, do yourself a favor with a treat you’ll never forget!

Have you read the book? Let me know in the comments below! As always, God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!

  1. I haven’t read the book in a while, but I remember it was hilarious! Although I prefer the film for light entertainment, the book is more than worth the purchase price. Sooner or later, I have to go back and read it! 😆
