Hey guys! I’m here with another Bible verse, and I hope it encourages you to get through whatever trial you might be experiencing right now! Take a look!
Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. – 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
I LOVE Paul! Everything about him just fascinates me! Awhile back when I was going through a trial, this verse was brought to my attention. In these verses, Paul talks about a thorn that he had in his side – he was going through a trial, too. He prayed three times for the Lord to take it from him, but He didn’t. In the next verse, he tells what the Lord said to him, about His power being made perfect in weakness. In an earlier verse, Paul says he was given the thorn in order to keep from being conceited. I realized that if God could simply end our trials – which He totally could – we would never grow as Christians. Through my trials, I was taught to trust the Lord and be patient. When you look at trials that way, there’s something about it that seems a bit easier!
I hope this encourages you! I challenge you to find something you can learn from your trials! As always, God bless you and have a wonderful week!
