Hey guys! Sometimes I feel like I’m running out of quote ideas, which is, of course, ridiculous since there’s like, a bajillion quotes out there. Well, today I decided to pull one from Final Fantasy 8, even though I literally just did that two weeks ago. But hey! That game’s been on my mind since I recently started playing the remaster edition and it just has me in the mood for an anti-social Squall quote. Enjoy!

“What do you think? To tell you the truth… I worry too much about what others think of me. I hate that side of me… That’s why I didn’t want anyone to get to know me. I wanted to hide that side of myself. I hate it. Squall is an unfriendly, introverted guy. It made it easy for me when people perceived me that way. That’s a secret between you and me. Got that?” – Squall to Rinoa (Final Fantasy 8)

Oh, my heart! At this point in the game, Rinoa is unconscious and they don’t know when – or if – she’ll wake up. And it turns out Squall loves her. This scene just melts me every. Single. Time! Ugh! While Rinoa is still unconscious, they still have to travel, so Squall carries her on his back half the time. When they are alone at one point, Squall reveals his deepest secret about himself even though she probably can’t hear him. I have to say, although Aerith and Zack have a special place in my heart, Squall and Rinoa are my favorite Final Fantasy couple!
