Hey guys! I’m back with another quote, and this time I’m taking one from Final Fantasy 8! As far as romance stories go, this is one of my absolute favorites! This game has such beautiful dialogue, designs, and music, and Squall and Rinoa might be one of my favorite fictional couples ever! Take a look!

“Rinoa…No matter what happens, even if you become the world’s enemy…I’ll be your knight.” – Squall to Rinoa (Final Fantasy 8)

There was a few other quotes that I could have chosen from this game, all spoken by Squall. I was very close to choosing the more famous line “I’ll be waiting for you. If you come here, you’ll find me. I promise.”, spoken by Squall to Rinoa, as it is possibly my favorite line from the game. However, I wanted to put the spotlight on this quote. At the beginning of FF8, Squall, as you know if you have played the game, is a very introverted and, well, unfriendly person. He’s constantly saying things like “Whatever” and just generally giving off the impression that he doesn’t care a lick about people. In fact, when he first meets Rinoa, he’s annoyed with her and would rather not be friends. Of course, as the game goes on, things begin to change. Squall goes from the cold, distant young man to the one who would risk all as Rinoa’s knight. *Loud fangirl squeals*
