Quote of the Week 12/13/20

I feel like all of my Quote of the Week posts these days are celebrating video game announcements, because this will be another one of those! There’s been SO MUCH announcements I can barely keep up with it all! For today I’ve got seven Sephiroth quotes (since he’s from FF7) in honor of him joining the fight in Smash Brothers! Take a look!

“Those who look with clouded eyes see nothing but shadows.” – (Sephiroth to Aerith)

“Seven seconds ’till the end. Time enough for you, perhaps. But what will you do with it? Let’s see.” – (Sephiroth to Cloud after their battle. A popular theory suggests he is reffering to Aerith’s coming death.)

“I am…your everything.” – (Sephiroth’s reply to Cloud’s question, “Who are you?”)

“Tell me what you cherish most. Give me the pleasure of taking it away.” – (Sephiroth to Cloud)

“How could I not when you’ve beaten it into my head?” – (Sephiroth to Genesis, after remembering which act of Loveless he was reciting)

“You need not remind me. That was the crowning moment of our time together.” – (Sephiroth to Cloud, after Cloud swears that he killed him)

And last but certainly not least…

“I will…never be a memory.” – (Sephiroth’s reply after Cloud tells him to stay in his memories where he belongs)

Sephiroth is a man of few words, but he always speaks so poetically. I like to think that he got that from Genesis, an old friend of his who was obsessed with the poem, Loveless. I CANNOT wait to see more of him in the second part of the remake! hopefully that comes soon!

What do you think about these quotes? Got anymore Sephiroth quotes that you love? Let me know in the comments below! God bless y’all and have a wonderful week!
