Kingdom Hearts: ReMind Trailer LEAKED

Hey guys!  If you’re a Kingdom Hearts fan, then I’m sure you’ve seen the trailer that was recently leaked for the Kingdom Hearts: ReMind DLC.  I’ve got to say, it’s got the fandom in a frenzy!  So much was packed into this trailer, including a release date, which fans have been waiting for!  Before I get into the details, why don’t you watch the trailer for yourself in case you haven’t seen it yet.  And if you have, why not watch it again?…

The trailer had been posted on the Kingdom Hearts twitter page, but was quickly taken down by Square Enix.  But that didn’t stop the fans from getting their hands on it.  The trailer confirms quite a few things.

Right away it is revealed that Final Fantasy characters will be returning to the series.  Aerith, Leon (Squall), and Yuffie, who first made their Kingdom Hearts appearances way back in 2002, are all present.  When Kingdom Hearts III released, everyone wondered where the beloved characters were, and now we’ll get to see them in action again!

It’s time to acknowledge the elephant in the room…as we saw in the last trailer, we’re getting a lot of new playable characters.  Riku will be playable, and as far as I can tell, Axel, Xion, Roxas, and the rest of them will be, too.  But what has fans freaking out?  For years, people have wanted Kairi to step up her game in the Kingdom Hearts series.  Especially when she spent most of her time in Kingdom Hearts III training to use her keyblade only to get killed off a little too early on in the final battle.  But it is now confirmed that Kairi will be playable in Kingdom Hearts: Remind!

From the looks of it, there will be plenty of new bosses.  I really hope there’s also new keyblades to get, and maybe some new abilities?  I’m super excited for all the new cutscenes that will continue this story and explain just what happened to Sora at the end of Kingdom Hearts III!

There’s just a few more things to point out before I end.  At the end of Kingdom Hearts III, it was revealed that Xigbar is Luxu, one of the six apprentices of the Master of Masters.  And that means that he knows what’s in the black box.  Apparently, Luxord is getting a little suspicious of Xigbar, and that has me wondering what else could be revealed in this DLC.  We see Xigbar holding one of Luxord’s cards, and I can’t help but remember the card that Luxord gave to Sora.  Perhaps we’ll get some answers?

The last thing is probably obvious.  WHAT WAS THAT ENDING????  Kingdom Hearts fans will know that the last lines spoken in this trailer were the first lines to ever be heard in the original Kingdom Hearts.  As Sora walks through the strange place, we hear this line.  Sora’s not alone, however.  Yozora, who made his debut in Kingdom Hearts III, walks towards Sora.  Their voices combine as the last words are spoken.

I have a few theories as to what the ending of this trailer could mean, but ya’ll will have to wait until I can get a theory post out, because there’s a lot that needs to go into it!  Last but not least, the release date was revealed to be January 23 for PS4 users, and February 25 for Xbox users.  What do you think about this trailer?  Have any points that you’d like me to discuss in my theory post?  Let me know in the comments below!

Kingdom Hearts: ReMind will release first on the PS4 on January 23, 2020, then on Xbox on February 25, 2020

He certainly does! Versus 13, the game where Yozora came from, is the original Final Fantasy 15, which means that Yozora IS Noctis, in a way. I have a feeling the game might have a big impact on Kingdom Hearts in the future…as well as The World Ends With You!
