E3 2019 Square Enix Panel

The panel we’ve been waiting for finally arrived last night, and boy was it exciting! Square Enix was releasing things before it was even their turn, but that made things all the more interesting.  I mean, we got two trailers for the Final Fantasy 7 remake in the span of two days, so that’s pretty big if you ask me!

Okay, so a lot of games were given trailers, like Life Is Strange 2; which looked amazing, a bunch of remastered Final Fantasy games (where’s my Final Fantasy 8 fans at?), remastered Dragon Quest 11 that’s getting a new 8-bit look that I am SOOO excited for!  And what about that sweet looking Avengers game that we’ve been waiting for years to see?  So much stuff!  I am here to tell you that I was exactly nineteen minutes late to the live stream and I missed the Final Fantasy 7 remake trailer…wow.  That’s okay though, I watched the trailer later.  Oh yeah, and how can I forget about the trailer for the Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind DLC?  This was actually released the day before the Square Enix panel, but still.  This trailer raised a lot of questions, just like anything Kingdom Hearts does.  As you can see from the trailer, this DLC, which will allow us to play as characters other than Sora, will release this winter…

Looking good!

Moving on to Final Fantasy 7, the trailer finally gives us a look at Tifa, Marlene, and SEPHIROTH!!!!

And did you see that lovely part at the end?  The part that said we would finally get to play this game?  You saw it right, my friends!  The Final Fantasy 7 remake will release on March 3, in 2019!  This was not revealed yesterday, but in the trailer that was released on Sunday.  Also, if you pre-order, you can get a bunch of great stuff!

When I first watched this trailer, the music hit and I just got these tears in my eyes.  The animation is everything I hoped for, and the music brings that same nostalgia that the original one gives.  I can’t wait to put the game in my PS4 and hear that Prelude again!

A whole lot of trailers were shown at the SE panel; what are you looking forward to?  Let me know in the comments below!

Note: You might have noticed that two Quote of the Week posts are missing…I have been on vacation, but I promise one will be released this Sunday to continue the weekly quotes.

It definitely is, Caroline! I have heard the same thing, and a few scenes from the trailer seem like they never happened in the original. I’m glad that they are adding more things to it! I need to see more Zack Fair! Yes, now that you say that, I wonder the same thing…

      1. Showing Zack some more would definitely be good. Is this the same voice cast from Advent Children, though? Some of them don’t sound the same. Then again, since Advent takes place two years later, when everyone is a little older, they may have changed their voices slightly to reflect the relative youth of the characters in the remake…

I’m not sure if they have the same voice actors, but I can tell that some of them might. I don’t think the voice actors have been announced yet, but hopefully they will be soon! It would make sense if they made them sound younger!
