Hey fellow geeks!  After a wait that has seemed like ages, the trailer for the final season of the animated series Voltron: Legendary Defender has been revealed.  It looks like this season will be completely insane!  I am so excited to see what happens!  Before we talk more about the trailer, why don’t you take a moment to watch it below…

So, what exactly did we just see?  So far, the show has been pretty epic, and there’s no doubt that it will finish strong.  From what was shown, I’m guessing we’ll see more of what happened to Altea and the original Paladins of Voltron, more of the Astral Plane, and a whole lot of other crazy stuff.  I’m really excited because it looks like Haggar will be taking on the roll of the main villain.  This leads me to a question…

Will Prince Lotor return?  Okay, so a bunch of stuff went down in his fight with Voltron in the season 6 finale, but I feel like he is not gone despite the fact that he was left in the Quintessence Field to die.  I mean, this is a pretty big question that I’m sure plenty more of ya’ll are asking.  Well, I for one believe that he’ll return.  And imagine this; a big fight between Lotor and Haggar…how awesome would that be?  Of course, I now wonder what he will be like if he was to return.  Last time we saw him, he was mad with quintessence and not in the greatest mental state.  It will be very interesting to see.

A few other things I really can’t wait to see is, for one, that glowing tree.  And I’m guessing that’s Lance and Allura in that shot?  Also, who in the world is Keith fighting in that one split second scene?  UGH!  SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!

After saving the Earth, the paladins embark to prevent Honerva (Haggar) from setting into motion her deadliest plan yet.  It’s a race against the clock as the Voltron Coalition gathers from the corners of the galaxy to defend the universe once and for all.
