So, this is probably old news by now, but better late than never! Anyway, once again, another Star Wars director has been fired. This time, it’s Star Wars 9 director Colin Trevorrow. Disney announced this by a short note that read
“Lucasfilm and Colin Trevorrow have mutually chosen to part ways on “Star Wars: Episode IX. Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process, but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon.”
After the news, people began to wonder if the Star Wars 8 director, Rian Johnson, would be taking over production for the movie. But it was recently revealed that it would be the Star Wars 7 director, J.J. Abrams, that will be taking over.
I’m actually feeling pretty good about that decision. What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments!
