Star Wars Rebels: BREAKING NEWS

Today at the Star Wars Celebration Star Wars Rebels season 4 panel they made some pretty exciting announcements!

Number one, they revealed a new character that will be coming to Rebels.  Some of you might know him, others of you might have no clue who he is.  But this character, who, along Thrawn and many other, was trashed with the Expanded Universe, has now been made canon again.  Welcome back Rukh!

For those of you who read Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy, you might remember Rukh to be the frightening bodyguard of everyone’s favorite Chiss, Grand Admiral Thrawn.  He will be voiced by the veteran Star Wars actor Warwick Davis.   Now, to be honest, I don’t know if I want to hug the newcomer or punch him.  I’m excited for him to be here, but there’s the fact that in the Expanded Universe Rukh assassinates Thrawn.  I really hope that is not done again in this series.  Ok, on to the next reveal. They have released an emotional trailer for the next season of Rebels, and it looks to be getting darker.  You can watch it below…

So what do you think of that?  Looks to be very interesting indeed!  I will do a breakdown of this trailer sometime tomorrow and talk about it more.  For now, there is one more announcement that the director for Star Wars Rebels has made today.  This wasn’t a happy announcement though, so get ready.  The director has spoken, season 4 will be the final season of Star Wars Rebels.  Yes, it all had to end sometime, but why so soon?  Clone Wars even got 6 seasons, nearly 7!  While this is disappointing news, we will just have to enjoy what we got!

So what do you think?  Season 4 of Rebels seems like it’s going to be an awesome final season, and hopefully all questions will be answered, like what happened to Ahsoka after her battle with Darth Vader all the back in season 2.  Anything you’d like to say about these announcements?  Let me know in the comments!
